Robin Unger put the Martin film and the Hughes film side by side, and he's claiming that the Lovelady figures in each of them were the same.

The thing is, Robin, I trust you completely. I just don't trust the devil inside you. When we look at these two guys close-up:

They are not the same guy, Robin. They are far from being the same guy. And neither one of them was Billy Lovelady. Billy Lovelady had left for the railroad tracks by the time these films were taken. He told us so himself. Shelley, who went with him, also told us so. And Frazier, who did not go with them, also said that they left. That was before the first policeman (Marrion Baker) even reached the steps, never mind before any police checkpoint was set up.

And when Lovelady and Shelley returned, they did NOT return to the front. The re-entered through the back door, and then they were inside for a very long time- until it was time to depart for City Hall with police. So, there is no chance that Billy Lovelady was milling around out in front when these films were taken.

So, these are just two phony sightings of Lovelady wearing a plaid shirt, where neither one was Lovelady, nor were they each other.
