This was written for this blog this evening by John Armstrong. It concerns the weird but indisputable fact that in 1947, both Marguerites were living in the Ft. Worth area, and the short, heavy-set Marguerite actually rented a house from the tall, elegant Marguerite.

THE AVAILABLE EVIDENCE SHOWS THAT THE TWO MARGERTES KNEW EACH OTHER WHEN THEIR CHILDREN WERE ADOLESCENTS. IN 1947, THE REAL MARGUERITE (TALL, ELEGANT, ATTRACTIVE) WAS LIVING AT 1505 8TH AVENUE IN FT. WORTH WITH EDWIN EKDAHL AND YOUNG LEE, WHILE JOHN AND ROBERT WERE ATTENDING BOARDING SCHOOL AND RETURNED TO FT. WORTH IN JUNE, AFTER SCHOOL ENDED. LEE GRADUATED FROM THE 1ST GRADE AT LILLY B. CLAYTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOLM FT. WORTH, ON MAY 30, 1947.

TARRANT COUNTY LAND RECORDS SHOW THAT MARGUERITE OSWALD PURCHASED A HOUSE AT 100 SAN SABA IN BENBROOK ON JULY 7, 1947. ACROSS THE STREET AT 101 SAN SABA GEORGIA AND WALTER BELL WERE BUILDING THEIR NEW HOME. ACCORDING TO GEORGIA, A SHORT, HEAVY SET, UNATTRACTIVE MARGUERITE OSWALD AND HER YOUNG SON MOVED INTO THIS HOUSE IN THE SUMMER AND MOVED OUT IN NOVEMBER, 1947. HER YOUNG SON (HARVEY) SHOULD HAVE ATTENDED BENBROOK COMMON SCHOOL, A SHORT DISTANCE FROM SAN SABA. LEE OSWALD WAS ENROLLED IN THE 2ND GRADE AT LILLY B. CLAYTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN FT. WORTH IN SEPTEMBER, AND REMAINED AT THIS SCHOOL UNTIL MARCH, 1948.

GEORGIA BELL REMEMBERED THAT THE MO WHO LIVED ACROSS THE STREET NEVER DROVE A CAR AND WAS DRIVEN AROUND BENBROOK BY GEORGIA AND HER NEIGHBORS. LUCILLE HUBBARD DROVE THIS MARGUERITE TO A HOUSE ACROSS FROM THE STRIPLING SCHOOL WHERE SHE STORED FURNITURE AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS. GEORGIA REMEMBERED THAT THIS MO HAD OBTAINED A JOB AS A PRACTICAL NURSE. THE REAL MO NEVER WORKED AS A PRACTICAL NURSE. ALSO, THE REAL MO DROVE AND DROVE WELL- INCLUDING A LONG DISTANCE TRIP TO LOUISIANA IN 1946

JOHN PIC TOLD THE WC THAT DURING THE SUMMER OF 1947 HE FIRST WORKED AT WALGREENS, AND THEN AT THE TEX-GOLD ICE CREAM PARLOR, A FEW BLOCKS SOUTH OF THEIR HOME ON 8TH AVENUE IN FT. WORTH. THERE IS NO DOUBT THE REAL MO AND HER 3 SONS WERE LIVING CONTINUOUSLY ON 8TH AVENUE IN 1947. THE WC REPORTED (9P 673) "MARGUERITE CONTINUED TO LIVE WITH EKDAHL UNTIL JANUARY, 1948."

WHEN THE WC ATTORNEY BEGAN QUESTIONING ROBERT OSWALDHE PROVIDED DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT THE FIRST HALF OF 1947. BUT PRIOR TO DISCUSSING THE SUMMER OF 1947 ALLEN DULLES ABRUPTLY ADJOURNED THE MEETING. AFTER THE RECESS, THE WC ATTORNEY RESUMED ASKING QUESTIONS OF ROBERT OSWALD, BUT THERE WAS NO FURTHER MENTION OF 1947. WC ATTORNEY ALBERT JENNER SAID, "THIS BROUGHT US THROUGH THE SUMMER OF 1948, I BELIEVE. AM I CORRECT?" ROBERT OSWALD REPLIED, "THAT IS CORRECT, SIR." HENCE, ROBERT OSWALD AVOIDED ANSWERING QUESTIONS ABOUT THE YEAR 1947 THANKS TO THE INTERVENTION OF ALLEN DULLES.
