The link below is a discussion about Oswald in the Doorway that was started by James Gordon on Education Forum.  It's from 2007, and for me, it was well worth reading, and it was chilling to read.

It was chilling to read because it showed how effective lies can sometimes be. Mr. Gordon lays out the case for it being Oswald in the doorway, and he goes through the case that Harold Weisberg made for it. He also wisely correlated the shirts- Oswald's and Doorman's- including the shape of their sprawls.

Yes, that is rather compelling. But then, Mr. Gordon apparently posted the image of Lovelady at the DPD. His attachment is not operational any longer, but he seemed to be describing this one.

Then, Duke Lane hailed the above picture even more strongly, but neither of them questioned its validity, meaning: is this guy really Lovelady, and is the walk-by scene authentic or was it fabricated? In other words, is the whole thing a fake?

I have mentioned many times that there is no mention of any film of Lovelady at the DPD in the Warren Report. That was 1964, but even in the HSCA Final Report, which didn't come out until 1979, there is no mention of Lovelady at the DPD, and there is no use of any image of Lovelady from the DPD, and no recognition of the existence of the film. Since this was supposed to be the definitive and exhaustive treatment of the Doorman issue, why wasn't Lovelady at the DPD and its associated images included in the HSCA analysis? Why was it a no-show 16 years after the assassination?

It is time for the JFK conspiracy movement to realize that a gargantuan effort was made to salvage the official story by concocting phony movies of Lovelady in a plaid shirt. These include the Hughes film, the Martin film, and the DPD footage. Gordon and Lane needed to explore fakery as the reason these Lovelady images exist, but their minds never went there. And that really is a pity.

Then there was a very interesting post by Chuck Robbins, whom I don't know.

"The Altgens image appears to be edited. The unnatural slant, from the shoulder down past the elbow, looks like a very bad editing job, IMO. I have to ask...where is his shoulder? Unless the man who appears to be standing behind him was in front of him...it makes no sense to me."

Edited? No, Chuck, that is much too polite a word. It isn't edited; it's altered. But yes, the slant of the shoulders is extremely unnatural, and it is indeed a very bad alteration.

Where is his left shoulder? It's missing, Chuck. It got sacrificed, but I drew it back in above on the right so that you can see it. But, the man who appears to be next to Doorman, could, as you say, be in front of him or behind him, depending on how you look at it.

If Black Tie Man is behind Doorman, how could he be covering up Doorman's shoulder? And if Black Tie Man is in front of Doorman, how can Doorman be covering up Black Tie Man's shoulder? Something is wrong. This is impossible. As Chuck said, it makes no sense. It's like a Gestalt image. It is physically, anatomically, and photographically impossible. The Altgens photo was altered, and Black Tie Man was inserted into the picture. BT Man is covering up Doorman's left shoulder at the same time that Doorman is covering up BT Man's right shoulder, and that is impossible.

I can only guess why they did this, and I suspect it was to cover up the distinctive features of Oswald's shirt on his left side. If this appeared in the Altgens photo, it would have been all over.

The collar, the notch, the button loop- all of that must have showed up in the Altgens photo, and if left intact, it would have screamed "Oswald!". So, they had to cover it up, and they did it by sticking Black Tie Man in there.

Let's see the naysayers point to another image like this in the entire realm and history of photography going back to 1820. Show me any other image of two people standing closely together where we see the same thing.  In fact, get a camera and try to arrange two men- any way you want- and reproduce what we are seeing here. I tried it in Dealey Plaza, and it came out exactly as I knew it would: different.

The other guy and me were touching, and you can't get closer than that. Yet I, who was in front, have an intact shoulder. It goes over; it goes down; it has a point. The freaky slash that we see on Doorman cannot be reproduced by anyone. It would be impossible to reproduce it. It is a monstrosity. The alterers turned Oswald into a gargoyle. Maybe it was because they were working so fast. They only had a couple hours.

So, I'm glad to have that link from Education Forum, and I consider that discussion historical. It was a prelude of things to come.
