Here is another perspective shot. He looks a lot bigger than her, and it's for two additive reasons: he was bigger, plus, he was closer to the camera.

So, why isn't there a similar effect in the image on the right below when the same two factors are in play: he was bigger, and he was closer to the camera. Why does she loom so large? And especially her forearm which was on the opposite side of the car?
