Jay Knowles was right; Roberts was talking on the car radio.

I flooded it with light in order to get that. Do you see his hand going up? Do you see his thumb going one way and his fingers the other? That's the web of his hand. He's speaking into the radio. It's a two-way device. He's having a conversation with someone. When did it start? You can't tell me that the driver Kinney wasn't aware that Roberts was talking on the phone. He could hear Roberts, and he could hear the responses Roberts was getting, even if muffled. And look at Powers. He looks like he may be paying attention to it. And look at Clint Hill. He looks like he may be looking directly at Roberts, honing in on the conversation.

But, nobody in or on that car said a word about a conversation between Roberts and someone outside that vehicle while the slaughter was taking place.
