Dr. Thomas Halle on the Backyard photos:

"The distal phalanges (or part of them) are missing, along with the nails. I think what threw me--at first-(along with the blurry image) was that I'd forgotten that the first phalanx (distal to the metacarpo-phalangeal joint) is fairly long, to be followed by a shorter second phlanx..then, OOOPS!!, where is the third one?!!"
"Ralph...There are SO MANY aspects of the investigation and Oswald. If you will recall the work of Jack White, you will remember that there are DOZENS of pictures of LHO who supposedly are the same man, and some of them vary dramatically. The two men you cited are NOT the same man."

"Right from the "get-go," I suspect the image of the fellow on the right has been slightly blown up in size. ...and the individual on the left is huskier and has a face which is slightly broader and more filled out. While I realize this is subjective--to me--the first first exudes more self-assurance, more placidness. The two images have a distinctly different character. The hair differs a bit, too. While the chins are similar, the heads--frontal view--well, #1 (from the top-down) is basically square, while #2 is more triangular. #2 is apparently the dude who lies in a grave with a terrible reputation, while #1, a well-fed guy, is somewhere safe...perhaps having retired from a plush "Langley" career."

I noticed that too about the stubby-looking fingers but didn't say anything. I'm glad you brought it up. RC
