Jack Ruby was 5'  8 1/2 " tall.  That is just 1/2 inch shorter than Oswald was.  Just think: he was closer to the camera than Oswald, and he was wearing that hat, yet, he still was significantly shorter than Oswald. 

That midget was NOT 5' 8 1/2" tall. 

But, he sure wore his hat low.
