LBJ was several inches taller than JFK, but in some pictures, with JFK closer to the camera, JFK appears taller.

In this case, the Bookhout figure is closer to the camera than Fritz.

So, you certainly can't draw a line over the tops of their heads. The irony is that Backes got all bent out of shape when I did it in this photo.

In this case, it's really not so terrible because of the distance involved: Altgens was so far away from both of them. In the other case, it was close-up, so it made a big difference.

But listen, Backes, maybe you ought to talk to bpete, you being his Kemo Sabe and all, and tell him that he can't be drawing a line across in this photo.

And it's not just the comparison to Fritz, which shows a similar height, but also the standing others. If Bookhout was well over 6 feet, then how tall was the uniformed cop behind him? How tall were the detectives on the other side of Fritz? That man is clearly not well over 6 feet; he is well under 6 feet, unlike this other man:

But then again, punks will be punks.
